Campus Recreation Director jobs in Rochester, NY

Wedgewood Rehab and The Brook at High Falls, is currently seeking a Director of Recreation/Activities.

The qualified candidate will have at least 3 years experience working in a long term care setting. Candidate must be an innovative, creative self-starter with strong leadership qualities. Must have knowledge of all NYS/CMS regulations and possess the ability to effectively direct recreation staff.

• Assisting in planning and promoting recreation based on individualized needs and interests and encouraging participation and engagement
• Visiting bed-bound residents and non-participants and providing appropriate recreation services for them
• Assisting with the daily radio program, monthly newsletter and recreation calendar
• Assisting with volunteer program/appreciation set-up, admission assessments, clinical responsibilities and community interaction programs
• And above all, ensuring that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere that recognizes each individual’s needs and rights

• Day shift
