Campus Security Director directs and implements security and safety policies and procedures on campus. Manages the work activities of campus police and patrol units. Being a Campus Security Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a senior institutional officer. The Campus Security Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. The Campus Security Guards of SUNY Orange provide security for the Newburgh campus of Orange County Community College. Campus Security Guards report to the Associate Director of Security on the Newburgh Campus. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing security and protection for special events and activities; maintaining and enforcing order, investigating disturbances or unusual conditions; participating as part of a team in monitoring and executing fire drills; preparing reports.
Special Requirement: Must possess at time of application (and maintain throughout employment), a current ID card reflecting registration by the State of New York, Division of Licensing Services, as a Security Guard. Note: Active duty police officers in New York State are exempt from the Special Requirement. Valid Driver's license.
Experience Preferred: Prior security guard or law enforcement experience.

Other: Part-Time CSEA Position, includes holiday and sick pay
Hours: Hours and days are varied depending on the needs of the College. Up to 19 hours per week.
