Position Details

Position Summary:

• Monitor student activity in all areas of campus.
• Assist in supervision of bus loading/unloading.
• Assist in traffic control during student arrival/dismissal.
• Refer discipline, security, and attendance situations to appropriate personnel.
• Provide escort services for visitors, student, staff and others as necessary.
• Occassional after-school event assignments as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by the principal.
Regular and consistent in-person attendance required.

Qualification:

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Previous experience with school age students, preferred
• Supervisory experience working with at-risk youth, highly desirable.
• Physically able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Regular and consistent in-person attendance required.

Work Environment:

• Primarily an indoor work environment
• Occasional exposure to seasonal conditions

Mental/Physical Requirements:

• Daily, in-person attendance
• Maintain emotional control under stress
• Ability to use sound judgment, tact and courtesy in a variety of situations
• Prolonged standing and walking
• Occasional sitting, stooping, bending and kneeling

Hours/Pay:

• Monday – Thursday (8:45a – 4:30p) and Friday (8:45a – 12:15p) – (inclusive of a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)
• Every day school is in session. (180 workdays August – June)
• Wages pursuant to collective bargaining agreement with SEIU Local 517M
• Current hourly rates are $13.00 – $14.21 per hour based on experience

The parties’ collective bargaining agreement is through June 30, 2024.
