The Radiation Therapist will join a team of tenured radiation therapists and technicians, while reporting directly to the Manager of Oncology Services. The Radiation Therapist will provide individualized radiation therapy treatments and works closely with department RNs and providers.
This outstanding Cancer Center has received Joint Commission Accreditation and is led by Board Certified Radiation and Medical Oncologists. This Department also includes a Multidisciplinary Tumor Board which provides patients with support and advice during their cancer treatments. The Radiation Therapist will provide support to all of their team members and ensure that they are precisely calculating the exposure time of radiation and the size and strength of each dose in order to decrease any adverse effects. The Radiation Therapist will also provide education to the patients receiving radiation therapy and assess their progress and overall responsiveness to the treatment. The Radiation Therapist will also implement training programs for new employees, keep their employees up to date on necessary competencies and encourage professional development activities.
