Cancer Treatment Center Director (Hosp. Op.) directs and oversees all activities of the hospital's cancer center. Responsible for developing new programs, outreach activities, and research opportunities. Being a Cancer Treatment Center Director (Hosp. Op.) implements and maintains hospital practices, procedures and objectives. Serves as liaison with all professional, administrative and support staff. Additionally, Cancer Treatment Center Director (Hosp. Op.) creates reports on operation's activities for hospital administration to review. May require a bachelor's degree.     • BSA Harrington Cancer Center is a state-of-the-art, 48,000-square-foot facility with two new linear accelerators for radiation treatments, 24 patient exam rooms, 28 heated chemotherapy infusion chairs and three private infusion rooms for families.

    Responsibilities

    The Nurse Manager is responsible for assisting the Director with the overall leadership responsibilities of the department in accordance with established nursing standards, philosophy and BSA mission/vision. The Nurse Manager serves as a vital link between management and the clinical staff as well as strives to achieve efficient, safe, and cost-effective patient care.

    Qualifications

    Job Requirements:

    • Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
    • BSN or actively enrolled/pursuing BSN, must complete within 24 months
    • Current License as RN in State of Texas
    • American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support Certification
    • Chemo Certification required within 6 months
    • Position requires fluency in English language to function in job environment appropriately

    Preferred Job Requirements:

    • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN Certification) preferred
    • Previous acute care experience in Oncology
    • Three years of experience in clinical specialty - Oncology
