    Our client is seeking an energetic, organized, and inspiring educator to join their elite academy in Auburn as Center Director. This position allows you to mesh your experience in early childhood education with your communications and creative skills to guide a passionate team of childcare professionals who make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in their community every day.

    Salary and Bonus Incentives:

    Annual base salary $55,000 - $60,000 plus up to an additional $10,000 per year based on multiple performance factors (enrollment, budget, revenue, etc.)

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Effectively operate and manage all aspects of the school, including staffing, parent relations, quality control and facility management
    • Conduct annual performance evaluations; counsel staff and direct reports and issue written disciplinary reports when necessary; escalate matters to senior management where employment issues are unresolved or where legal implications surface; maintain staffing budget with set parameters
    • Delight our parents and proactively resolve their concerns in a professional and polite manner
    • Build center enrollment by providing tours to families and leading community events
    • Ensure compliance with Alabama childcare licensing minimum standards and develop strong working relationships with state licensing authorities
    • Supervise and schedule staff for efficient school operations
    • Lead recruitment efforts – job postings, interviewing and onboarding
    • Establish a staff training program and implement training
    • Provide creative, age-appropriate programs to all children served at the academy
    • Ensure teachers develop lesson plans based on the curriculum
    • Ensure Kindergarten Readiness for preschoolers
    • Design and deploy high quality and enriching Summer Program

    Qualifications:

    • One of the following education/experience requirements must be met:
    • HS Diploma or GED 120 clock hours of training in childcare at least 12 months of work experience in a childcare program OR;
    • CDA or CCP HS Diploma/GED 12 months of work experience in a childcare program OR;
    • AA in Child Development or ECE 9 months of working experience in a childcare program OR;
    • Bachelor’s in Child Development or Early Childhood Education 6 months of working experience in a childcare program
    • At least 2 years of Early Childhood Education leadership experience in a licensed facility with at least 130 enrolled students required. This could include titles such as Assistant Director, Program Director, or Center Director
    • At least 2 years of Lead Early Childhood Education teaching experience required
    • Experience managing at least 15 employees required
