Job Title: Maintenance

Position Summary:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Providing day to day custodial duties to uphold the appearance and safety of the buildings as well as building maintenance repairs.

Job Requirements Include:

Clean offices, hallways, stairs, lobby, lounge area, conference room and all other common areas

Dusting all office furniture, windowsills, counter tops, etc.

Empty office, bathroom, lounge, conference room and all other common area wastebaskets

Clean bathroom fixtures, counters, mirrors, and mop floors

Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs

Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals

Maintaining the cleanliness of the exterior of the building including removing debris from the property, sweeping patios and walkways as needed

Minor maintenance repairs as needed including changing light bulbs, filters etc.

Basic Responsibilities of General Maintenance Workers:

• Assist with electrical duties & repairs
• Assist with sheet rocking, plastering, painting, flooring, door locks, ETC.
• Maintain the the buildings via general cleaning
• Buffing, stripping and waxing
• Hauling trash

Qualifications/criteria:

• 1 year of experience
• Basic Intermediate plumbing duties & repairs
• Basic/ Intermediate electrical duties & repairs
• Sheet rocking, plastering, painting, flooring, door locks, ETC.
• Experience assisting with renovation projects in commercial buildings
• Must have good verbal communication skills.
• Great customer service attitude.
• Able to travel between our South Bronx, Harlem and Queens locations
• Able to follow directions and multi-task.
• Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license

**We follow the NYC Workplace Vaccination requirements.

Physical Demands:

• Walking and standing for extended periods of time.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
• Bending at the waist, kneeling, crawling or crouching.
• Reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate hand tools and specialized equipment.
• Ability to read work orders and instructions to perform maintenance functions.
• Climbing ladders

Educational Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
