Cannery Worker packages food products in various ways including freezing, canning, and preserving for future consumption. Sorts and prepares products, feeds products into processing equipment, and places or stores food products according to specifications. Being a Cannery Worker may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Cannery Worker may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Christmas tree seedling harvesting and packaging. Job involves picking up seedlings on the ground in the nursery, loading onto trailers where they will be transported via tractors to the processing building. Seedlings will then be counted by a conveyor and rolled to bundles of 100 seedlings and put into a storage cooler for customer pickup.
