This role ensures the fulfillment of orders strictly abiding company's safety operation rules; It is responsible for the accuracy of the measuring instrument used; It operates production machines and tools, always ensuring Quality, Health and Safety requirements are met; It ensures the accurate and clear identification of incoming raw materials with timely information of purchasing.
Production Worker
Responsibilities
- A. Production & Packaging
- Manufactures, packages, and repacks products including finished goods and raw materials adhering to manufacturing work instructions. Deviations during process are to be documented and reported to the Manager or Team Leader in a timely manner
- Carries out all necessary tasks in production with focus on the overall schedule
- Picks and weighs out raw materials
- Unloads bulk tankers
- Make certain that production area is kept clean, safe and organized on a daily basis
- Minimizes waste and disposes of it according to Company and environmental regulations. Properly segregates and disposes of non-hazardous and hazardous waste. Maintains hazardous waste satellite accumulation areas by properly labeling, securing containers and informing Hazardous Waste Coordinator when the satellite containers are full.
- Participate and satisfactorily complete mandatory hazardous waste training within 6 months of hire and annually thereafter.
- Prevents spills and in the event of a spill reacts as trained for these situations
- Operates the forklifts according to training and the Freudenberg Safety Standards
- Handles all materials and operates equipment in a conscientious and safe manner, prevents harm to self and others and/or damage to equipment
- B. Inventory Control
- Counts container inventory and raw materials as needed for cycle counting
- Informs Production Manager immediately of any discrepancies in stock quantities
- Practices First-in/First-out principle
- Support the inventory flow of material between the raw material warehouse and the Production and Repack groups
- Complete transactions in ROSS as required for cycle counts and/or if transferring stock in inventory
- C. Other Duties
- Member of the Klüber Spill Team and will assist with emergency situations as instructed by the Incident Commander
- Participation in improving the manufacturing operations
- Active participation in improving the safety culture
- Participate in personal development and training programs
- Support Shipping & Receiving as needed
- Overall general tidiness and cleanliness of warehouse such as sweeping, dusting, etc.
- Empty internal trash bin receptacle to the outside dumpster
- Provide ideas to better department/company for efficiencies and continuous improvements
- Additional duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications
- Team-player
- Conscientious about health and safety
- Adequate writing and listening skills
- Willingness to strictly abide by requirements and instructions
- Basic math, reading and computer and basic knowledge of the metric system
- Ability to set up and perform different tasks simultaneously; multi-tasking
- Experience with fork lift a plus
