Position Summary

Working as a team, the Seed Line Worker’s primary role is putting unseeded trays in the seed line and stacking the seeded trays onto a pallet.  

Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

• Feed empty trays onto the Seedline  
• Stack seeded trays onto pallets in a safe, orderly, and efficient way. 
• Placing bulk seeds into line hopper. 
• Check all equipment is in good condition before using it.    
• Assist Operator to assure the correct calibration. 
• Work responsibly, safely, and efficiently; follow set standards.
• Report unsafe or hazardous conditions to the Operator and/or Supervisor.
• Work as a Heavy Labor worker on greenhouse activities when required.
• Performs all duties in accordance with environmental, food safety, safety rules and regulations. 
• Performs other duties as assigned. 

* The expected pay range that we reasonably expect to pay for this position is $15.50 to $19.25. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors. (Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors) 

Requirements

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Experience)

Minimum requirement; general educational background without high school completion, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be flexible with work schedule. 

Physical Requirements 

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently required to talk or hear; and occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities by this job include close distance and color vision.
