Forecasts and plans capacity requirements to ensure alignment with department or unit and determine variance from production schedules, resource levels, and inventory demand. Being a Capacity Planner identifies and troubleshoots production issues or bottlenecks that impact plant capacity. Coordinates with internal stakeholders like engineering, sales, and marketing to understand and develop current and forecasted plans. Lane Transit District is seeking a Senior Planner skilled in public multimodal transportation planning, design, operations, and program management.
The person in this role is primarily responsible for plans and policies to develop safe transportation solutions for the future that meet the needs and preferences of our community; and encourages connections throughout the region.
Responsible for the implementation of mobility management policies, programs, and furtherance of the LTD's outcome goals, and coordination with government entities, regional planning partners, special districts, to support transportation improvements.
The objective of the work is to provide a safe and well-connected mobility network that provides enhanced transportation solutions throughout the region; resulting in positive impacts to community needs such as housing, education, workforce development, economic development, and health.
Under the general supervision of the Director of Mobility Planning and Policy, the Senior Planner will partner with internal and external resources to meet objectives and provide management and supervision of the multimodal staff or as assigned. In this role, the incumbent will assist with pursuing grants and administering grant-funded projects as they relate to multimodal transportation elements. Working closely with Federal, State, and local municipalities coordinating and implementing mobility management strategies. The incumbent will proactively seek opportunities to enhance the transportation network, informed by public input and with transparency provided via consistent attendance and presentation in public Board and/or Committee meetings.

Bachelor′s Degree in Urban or Transportation Planning, Civil or Transportation Engineering, Business, Public Administration, Political Science, Urban Design, Public Policy, Finance, or a related field; Master's Degree in a related field preferred.
Five (5) years of professional experience in a role which includes a broad range of transportation or mobility planning, transportation engineering, and policy development.
Compensation and Work Schedule:
This position is a full-time, exempt position, eligible for the regular administrative benefits package. The pay range is between $90,297.09 and $122,162.94 annually. The work schedule for this position normally is Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
