Capacity Planner plans, measures, and monitors operating limits and capacities of an organization. Forecasts and plans capacity requirements to ensure alignment with department or unit and determine variance from production schedules, resource levels, and inventory demand. Being a Capacity Planner identifies and troubleshoots production issues or bottlenecks that impact plant capacity. Coordinates with internal stakeholders like engineering, sales, and marketing to understand and develop current and forecasted plans. Additionally, Capacity Planner utilizes manufacturing data and reports to drive key insights into efficiency, production rate, and other performance metrics. Produces reports that evaluate plant capacity and identify areas needing improvement. Recommends process and equipment improvements to optimize production capabilities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Capacity Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     This is an amazing Full-Time, Direct-Hire, and Onsite opportunity .

    As the Production Planner , you will report to the Vice President of Operations. You will lead the production planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring progress through the complete production cycle.

    RESPONSIBILITIES :

    • Schedule work orders to the manufacturing floor in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Plan and control material demand for production scheduling.
    • Expedite delivery of parts to ensure material flow.
    • Connect with stakeholders and communicate scheduled impacts.
    • Ensure products are delivered on time.
    • Generate status reports such as customer information, production progress, and material inventory.
    • Coordinate with manufacturing leaders to adjust the production schedule when necessary and ensure the appropriate level of urgency is recognized.
    • Provide monthly and weekly demand forecasts to stakeholders, highlighting significant changes since the previous report.
    • Develop and implement production control monitoring tools and capacity analysis tools.
    • Optimize both customer satisfaction and shop floor productivity.
    • Oversee day-to-day activity and monitor daily capacity and production progress.
    • Identify capacity constraints.
    • Analyze the customer backlog for part grouping and balances against delivery requirements.
    • Develop performance metrics, monitor performance, and send monthly reports.
    • Resolve customer delivery problems and track shipments.
    • Establish the capacity plan and forecast for review with internal teams and participate in planning meetings.
    • Participates in assigned Process Improvement Projects.

    QUALIFICATIONS :

    • 5 years of Manufacturing Planner experience.
    • 5 years of Master Production Scheduler experience preferred.
    • Proficient with production planning systems / ERP systems.
    • Strong knowledge of workflows and Bills of Materials.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across multiple departments.
    • Professional certification by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) preferred.
