Capacity Planner plans, measures, and monitors operating limits and capacities of an organization. Forecasts and plans capacity requirements to ensure alignment with department or unit and determine variance from production schedules, resource levels, and inventory demand. Being a Capacity Planner identifies and troubleshoots production issues or bottlenecks that impact plant capacity. Coordinates with internal stakeholders like engineering, sales, and marketing to understand and develop current and forecasted plans. Additionally, Capacity Planner utilizes manufacturing data and reports to drive key insights into efficiency, production rate, and other performance metrics. Produces reports that evaluate plant capacity and identify areas needing improvement. Recommends process and equipment improvements to optimize production capabilities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Capacity Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     What success looks like in this role:

    Administrators with storage responsibilities will be responsible for providing the below support: * Install and configure Storage Systems and/or Software updates following documented procedures prepared by vendors or Senior Administrators. * Perform routine simple and intermediate storage maintenance activities during maintenance windows. * Perform initial troubleshooting of incidents that are not well defined. Escalate unresolved and/or complex incidents if necessary. * Plan and implement basic and intermediate change requests. * Update CMDB with changes. * Assist with PBI resolution. * Carry out Simple to Intermediate Critical Best Practices defined for the Storage Tower * Assist in firmware upgrades. * Monitor and resolve issues with Data Replication. * Implement Basic and Intermediate Project tasks. * Assist in Storage and SAN Migration tasks in consultation with Sr. Storage Administrators. * Perform periodic reporting of Storage and SAN systems. Review and identify exceptions. Resolve basic and intermediate exceptions as per documented procedures. Escalate when appropriate. * Identify simple opportunities for automation and build automation procedures and scripts. * Work with cross-functional teams to provide seamless service delivery Administrators with backup responsibilities will be responsible for providing the below support: * Design, implement and support the administration of backup environments for multiple clients. * Install and configure new backup environments. * Handle technical escalations from Level 1 and Level 2 teams. * Troubleshoot deep technical issues in backup environments. * Perform backup audits. * Evaluate and analyze the backup reports and backup performance. * Propose and implement backup improvement initiatives to enhance backup performance & backup success rates. * Evaluate emerging backup trends and adoption of Cloud backup technologies. * Perform the migration of backup systems from older to newer generation based systems. * Track backup systems' capacity and propose appropriate measures proactively. * Conduct periodic performance analysis and fine tune the overall backup performance. * Execute Incident management, Change Management and Problem Management in line with ITIL standards. * Demonstrate creativity in performing tasks by identifying, proposing, implementing, and streamlining activities to reshape technology and processes. * Act as a technical interface for specific clients. * Provide weekly and monthly status reports on projects and communicate project status, client updates etc. * Work with cross-functional teams to provide seamless service delivery * Communicate issues and solutions that may impact the team. Administrators with capacity responsibilities will be responsible for providing the below support: * Design, develop and maintain a periodic capacity plan to include monitoring, trending, forecasting and assessing new demand. * Create and present comprehensive capacity reports on various IT infrastructure aspects of the data center to clients. * Provide trend analysis and present improvement plans specific to performance and capacity of systems. * Establish demand assessment/management. Process ad-hoc and routine demands. Provide analysis and cost effective recommendations. * Interface with monitoring tools to ensure required capacity monitoring and tools configuration provide required capacity analysis. * Ensure the successful, timely, reactive and proactive resolution of detected capacity issues, including notification and escalation of high priority issues in infrastructure. Minimize the adverse effect on the business of incident and problems caused by capacity related issues in the infrastructure. * Proactively prevent the occurrence of capacity related incidents. * Participate in new service offering design reviews and provide input from capacity point of view. * Participate in capacity management process definition, design & maintenance. * Perform monthly & ad-hoc reporting and capacity related incident review on demand. * Attend performance related issues & provide solutions from the capacity point of view. * Identify improvement opportunities and provide recommendations, or refer to business.

    You will be successful in this role if you have:

    * University degree or equivalent education and experience. * Minimum of 6 years of domain experience. Recommended Certifications: ITIL Additional Recommended Certifications for Storage: * Intermediate Level Certifications in Select/Applicable Storage Technologies such as EMC, NetApp, HP 3PAR, IBM etc. * Basic Level Certifications in Data Replication Technologies * Intermediate Level Certification in SAN Technologies (Brocade, Cisco) Additional Recommended Certifications for Backup: * Intermediate Level Certifications in Select/Applicable Backup Technologies such as DEL EMC, VERITAS, CommVault, TSM or Similar Products * Intermediate Level Certifications in Cloud Data Protection Technologies
