Capacity Planning Supervisor leads a capacity planning team to plan and monitor an organization's operating limits and capacities. Forecasts and plans capacity requirements to align with production schedules, resource levels, and inventory demand. Being a Capacity Planning Supervisor identifies and troubleshoots production issues or bottlenecks that impact plant capacity. Coordinates with internal stakeholders to understand future plans and develop responsive capacity forecasting. Additionally, Capacity Planning Supervisor utilizes production metrics and manufacturing research to develop insights on processes or equipment and recommend improvements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Capacity Planning Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Capacity Planning Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. The Inventory Control Supervisor ensures the correct execution of all the Inventory Control processes for their assigned team to ensure integrity and compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards. The Inventory Control Supervisor role is responsible for the supervision of all inventory processes, staff performance and development, root cause analysis, and reporting. A qualified candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:
Management & Leadership: Prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes through the work of subordinates. Ability to train, oversee daily responsibilities, and manage the performance of subordinates to established standards.
Communication: Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with internal contacts. Ability to effectively give direction and feedback.
Technical: Efficiently research transactions through internal systems. Ability to accurately enter data in Excel to record physical inventory results and report discrepancies.
Problem-solving & Investigative skills: Analyze system transactions to determine the root cause of inventory discrepancies. Investigate and identify possible operational gaps in processes or procedures leading to inventory discrepancies. Ability to coordinate with peers and across multiple departments for additional resources, information, and equipment when needed.
