    SUMMARY

    Performs inspection (visual and dimensional) and packaging of product (Capillary Blanks and Custom Products).


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Inspects quality of product at different stages, comprising visual and dimensional verifications.
    • Communicates with production personnel on quality of product matters.
    • Unloads capillary blanks from processing plates and packages various products accordingly.
    • Enters quality findings on corresponding worksheets and prepares relevant paperwork as needed.
    • Makes decision as to which product is acceptable or defective.
    • Communicates concerns/problems with Inspection Lead and/or QA Supervisor.
    • Files and retrieve documents as needed.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    High School or some College is a plus, as well as 1 year Quality related experience in a manufacturing environment.

    Knowledge of inspection methods and processes. Knowledge of molding process and its products inspection a plus.

    Use of different computer software in Windows environment, Excel knowledge is a plus.


    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read, write and understand simple instructions, reports, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, equipment operating instructions, blueprints and procedures.


    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret different graphs.


    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized and special situations.
