Ensures efficient and effective lab operations, including quality control and compliance with regulations and policies. May be responsible for hiring and training of new employees as well as budgetary control for the lab. Additionally, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Manager requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Cardiac Sonographer
Marshfield Clinic Health System serves Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula with more than 1,600 providers comprising 170 specialties, health plan, and research and education programs.
Willing to train candidate who meets the minimum qualifications of the position.
The Cardiac Sonographer uses echocardiography or ultrasound equipment to evaluate the cardiac system allowing the physician to diagnose the patient’s cardiac function. The individual will record patient history, analyze technical information, and provide summaries of findings to physicians.
Requires an Associate's degree or technical diploma in a related health care program; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) awarded by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) within two years of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire; at time of hire preferred. Patient care experience required. One year of experience as a cardiac sonographer preferred.
