Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Manager plans and implements the overall policies, procedures, and services of the cardiac catheterization lab. Ensures efficient and effective lab operations, including quality control and compliance with regulations and policies. Being a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Manager supports Cardiologists with service delivery and resources. May be responsible for hiring and training of new employees as well as budgetary control for the lab. Additionally, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Manager requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a director. The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Position Summary

    The Medical Laboratory Scientist performs clinical testing in at least two of the following areas: General Lab, Microbiology, Transfusion Services, and Processing/Tube Dispatch. In addition to obtaining specimens and performing clinical laboratory tests the Medical Laboratory Scientist demonstrates leadership through student and team member instruction, independent problem solving and client service. The Medical Laboratory Scientist provides service to patients throughout the life span including newborns, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric age groups.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

      • Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree. Certification as a Medical Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist or as a Specialist in related field preferred.
      • Minimum Experience: None
      • Certification/Licensure: Med Tech ASCP or equivalent or eligible preferred.
