Ensures efficient and effective lab operations, including quality control and compliance with regulations and policies. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
EDUCATION: BA/BS
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five years of progressively responsible
positions in laboratory. Supervisory experience preferred.
REQUIREMENTS: Certification as Medical Technologist (ASCP/AMT).
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS: Moves among many outpatient and inpatient settings. Exposure to communicable diseases, sharp instruments, bodily fluids, cleaning chemicals.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Must be able to walk to various settings and to bend and reach. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds of supplies and equipment and help with patient transport and transfer. Occasional stress in dealing with priorities.
