Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Manager plans and implements the overall policies, procedures, and services of the cardiac catheterization lab. Ensures efficient and effective lab operations, including quality control and compliance with regulations and policies. May be responsible for hiring and training of new employees as well as budgetary control for the lab. Additionally, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Manager requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Required:
All hires after July 2012 are required to have a Bachelor's Degree in nursing OR if Associates Degree or Diploma, RN must provide proof of enrollment in a BSN program prior to hire, be continuously enrolled and complete within 5 years of hire date or internal RN promotion date.
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
Required:
Minimum of two years experience as staff RN. Minimum of one year experience as cardiovascular RN.
Preferred:
Previous experience in cardiac catheterization nursing
License, Registry or Certification:
Required:
Current NJ RN licensure and BLS and ACLS certification.
Preferred:
Certification in specialty, PCCN, CCRN, Cardiac Vascular
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Required:
â— Must pass annual clinical competency based program and mandated in-service education.
â— Unit specific skills may include but not limited to IV therapy, basic arrhythmia interpretation, vent training, critical care, conscious sedation, Bi-Pap/CPAP and EndTidal CO2, IABP, Impella, and other procedure related technologies.
â— Skills will be determined by a challenge exam and/or skill performance or by completion of a Staff Development course.
