Cardiac Catheterization Technologist jobs in Spokane, WA

Cardiac Catheterization Technologist performs diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations and other related procedures. Inserts small catheters through a needle into the blood vessels and into the heart so that X-rays, angiograms and other recordings can be taken to determine the heart's structure and function. Being a Cardiac Catheterization Technologist assist physicians with patient monitoring during surgery or procedures. Documents evaluation results, progress reports, treatment plans and other data using appropriate formats and systems. Additionally, Cardiac Catheterization Technologist some positions may require additional certifications such as: Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES). Requires an associate degree. Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Requires Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS). Typically requires State License. Typically reports to a manager. Cardiac Catheterization Technologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.     Under the leadership of the Department Manger and the supervision of the Cardiovascular Supervisor, the Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist (ICVT) will, through the utilization of specialized equipment under the direction of a qualified physician, perform procedures, including fluoroscopy and digital image capture on patients resulting in the accurate diagnosis and/or optimal treatment of congenital or acquired heart disease while maintaining maximum patient safety and comfort.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Coursework/Training - Graduate of an accredited school of cardiovascular technology. Or 5 years of experience.
    • Washington Radiologic Technologist upon hire. Or,
    • Washington Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification upon hire. Or,
    • National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International upon hire. Or,
    • National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire.
    • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
    • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
