Position Summary:
The Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse is responsible for assisting the cardiologist in diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and interventional procedures on adult patients and providing quality nursing care, assessing and managing patient care in the cardiac catheterization lab, and occasionally in other designated areas within the hospital. Additionally, the Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse will assist the cardiologists in all aspects of invasive cardiology (diagnostic and intervention, if applicable), including scrubbing, circulating, monitoring and recording hemodynamic parameters in accordance to policy and procedure. Employee shall also be responsible for the operation and reporting of results using blood glucose and oxygen saturation devices in accordance with policy and procedure.
Certification/License
Licensed RN in NC or compact state with an unencumbered license. BLS certification required, ACLS required within 90-days
Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of two years of critical care experience or cardiac catheterization experience and working with hemodynamic waveforms and vaso-active medications required. Ability to read and recognize EKGs and dysrhythmias required.
