Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department, regarding individualized treatment plans, evaluation results, and progress reports. Being a Cardiac Technician may require an associate degree or its equivalent. Also may require completion of a certificate in health technology or scientific instrumentation in electrocardiography. Position Summary
Performs cardiac stress testing on patients undergoing exercise and chemical stress test or exercise and chemical nuclear stress test. Performs electrocardiography (ECG) and Holter monitor testing.
Primary Position Responsibilities
â—Performs cardiac stress testing on patients undergoing exercise and chemical stress or exercise and chemical nuclear stress test.
â—Prepares patient for stress test, obtains prior test results and reports. Assists physician with direct patient care duties and carries out physician orders.
â—Performs electrocardiography and Holter monitor testing.
â—Reviews orders, explains procedure, answers questions and provides a high level of patient satisfaction.
