Responsibilities

Working under routine supervision, has proficient technical skills with knowledge of total clinical and clerical departmental functions. Has knowledge of growth, development and understanding of individual needs from infant to geriatric.

• Provides cardiology, and/or vascular testing as ordered by the Medical Staff and in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures.  Individuals will specifically be involved in the critical care areas.  Consults with physicians to provide excellent patient care.
• Effective communication skills, which encompasses written and verbal communications.  Effective documentation skills.
• Utilizes proper technique when lifting, transferring, and ambulating patients for safety of self, patient and other staff.
• Ability to set priorities and manage workload, accepting and completing assignments in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Staff Tech: CCT within first 2 years if working directly with patient care in clinical situations (unless otherwise specified by Director)  BLS required.
• Certified CCT: Requires 16 CEU every 3 years to stay active.  BLS/ACLS required
• Registry/Registry Eligible; RCVT, RVT, RVS, RDCS registered or registry eligible and working/training in echo/vascular technology and sonography. Required 15 CEU every years for certification and 30 CEUs for registry.  BLS/ACLS required
