Job Overview:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) of Monmouth Pulmonary Consultants is responsible for the Nursing Care under the supervision of practice Physicians and Practice Manager.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid NJ state licensure
• Licensed Practical Nurse Certification
• BLS Certification approved by AHA
• Relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• Valid NJ state licensure
• Licensed Practical Nurse Certification
• BLS Certification approved by AHA

Scheduling Requirements:

• Shift working, 8:00am - 4:30pm
• Monday - Friday
• Full-Time

Essential Functions:

• Communicates nursing interventions and responses to care to the appropriate members of the health care team
• Contributes to the initial nursing assessment and reassessment by collecting, reporting, and recording, objectives and subjective data in an accurate and timely manner
• Documents nursing interventions and responses to care
• Measures and records patients' vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, height and weight
• Participates in the development plan of care in consultation with the registered professional nurse
• Performs technical skills required by patients without causing harm
• Prepare and give injections and enemas, dress wounds, catheters, and give alcohol rubs and massages
• Performs Pulmonary Function Tests under the supervision of Respiratory Therapist or practice Physician
• Provides information to patients and families and listens to their concerns
• Recognizes and reports changes in patient condition
• Respects and maintains privacy and dignity of patients and assures patient confidentiality at all times
• Other duties as assigned
