As a Perfusionist, you would operate extracorporeal circulation equipment during any medical situation where it is necessary to support or replace the patient’s cardiopulmonary/circulatory function and ensure the proper management of physiologic functions by monitoring the necessary variables. The Cardiovascular Perfusionist is responsible for the safe set-up and operation of all types of extracorporeal circulation, including long-term ECMO .  The Perfusionist should be knowledgeable and proficient in the use of Autologous Blood Salvaging, Platlett Gel Therapy, and Point Of Care Testing. He/she should be familiar with all supplies and equipment utilized by the department. He/she should work with perfusion team to maintain all supplies and equipment on an ongoing basis. The Cardiovascular Perfusionist should also serve as a source of information for the other medical departments and continuously try to improve the services of the department.

Position: Perfusionist- Full Time 40 hours/week
Shift: Days- on call 7 days/month- position travels to BMH, PMH and Riddle

Experience:
1. Recent experience in all aspects of cardiovascular perfusion preferred.
2. New graduates will be considered.

Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in a physical science from an accredited institution required.

Licensures/Certifications:
1. Current PA Perfusionist License.
2. Current certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion required.
