Cardio-Pulmonary Perfusionist sets up and operates heart/lung machines that support organ function during cardiac surgery or other procedure where circulatory or respiratory function is disrupted. Operates equipment to produce bypass, coronary perfusion, recirculation or partial bypass, or to alter blood temperature, balance, or content. Being a Cardio-Pulmonary Perfusionist requires an advanced degree. Requires a Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) credential. Additionally, Cardio-Pulmonary Perfusionist typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Cardio-Pulmonary Perfusionist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Perfusionist: Heart of the Operation
SpecialtyCare continues to grow, and we are seeking a Per Diem Perfusionist to join our SpecialtyCare team in Palm Springs, CA. We are looking for someone that would be able to cover a minimum of four (4) to six (6) days per month.
SpecialtyCare is the largest provider of perfusion services in the United States. With our national presence and local professionals, we support 1 in 8 of all heart surgeries in the country. We are the Employer of Choice for more than 500 perfusion leaders. We support our team members by allocating funds for continuing education, conferences, and dues for professional associations. All of our full-time Perfusionists are encouraged to attend conferences and be active participants in state perfusion societies. - Salary Estimate: $1,000/daily per shift covered (Several factors, such as specific skill set, education level, certifications and years of experience, are considered to determine actual compensation.)
Position Requirements:
- Graduate of Accredited Perfusion training program, minimum required.
- Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) or meets other Company requirements as a perfusionist.
- Ability to work on Call; must live within 30 minutes from the hospital
