Full-time certified/registered medical assistant to join our growing team at our Baystate site located at 2 Medical Center Dr. Springfield, MA. The ideal candidate must have 3-5 years of clinical experience in an ambulatory setting. Must be detail-oriented and have experience in prepping and processing patients for physician visits. In addition, the candidate must be knowledgeable in performing cardiac ancillary testing including EKGs and Holter monitor placement, as well as participating in our telephone triage department. Definition:
Under the supervision of the Lead Medical Assistant, serves as a certified/registered medical assistant in a clinical setting at Pioneer Valley Cardiology Associates. Provides clinical support to physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners by preparing patients for their office visits. This task consists of taking vital signs, reviewing medications, reviewing allergies, performing EKG, and obtaining a briefing to review with the provider seeing the patient. This role also consists of preparing any medical forms for the provider treating the patient, scheduling appointments, triage walk-in visits, providing refills, managing task boxes, communicating results to patients, and assisting your team when needed.
This position is on-site with no availability to work remotely. The position is Monday through Friday 8 am-5 pm with an hour lunch.
