Cardiology Director leads and directs the staff and programs of the cardiology department. Works closely with hospital staff and physicians to implement standards for patient care that comply with all laws and regulations. Being a Cardiology Director ensures the department meets the current needs and addresses the future needs of patients by introducing new technologies, services, and procedures. This position does not require MD. Additionally, Cardiology Director requires a master's degree. Typically reports to an executive. The Cardiology Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Cardiology Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capital Cardiology Associates is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant for our high-volume Cardiology office in our Troy office. CCA is a fast paced Cardiology practice providing a full range of diagnostic, interventional, surgical, therapeutic and preventative services in the treatment of cardiovascular disease to patients throughout the Capital Region.
Position Description: Responsibilities include assisting physicians as they see patients, EKG's, blood pressure, perform vital signs, and other patient related duties. Certificate in Medical Assisting preferred; BLS certification required. Strong cardiac background preferred. Experience with Medical Manager software preferred. Excellent customer service and organizational skills a must. Ability to multi task and work well under pressure, in a team environment.
Minimum Qualification and Experience: Previous experience as a medical assistant, or PCA is preferred but not necessary. Applicants must have good time management skills and be professional and courteous. Willingness to travel amongst CCA sites is a plus.
