Large, fast paced Cardiology practice seeking to add an experienced AAPC Certified Coder to our team!
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Current AAPC Coding Certification required
Minimum 1-2 years of coding experience required
EPIC PB experience required
Cardiology Coding experience and knowledge of Peripheral Vascular Diagnostic and Intervention Coding a PLUS
Prior experience with insurance coding denials a PLUS
Strong analytical, oral, written communication skills
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Job Duties:
Position is responsible for providing services in a professional and courteous manner. All employees will interact with their team of coworkers in a positive and cohesive manner. All employees will display positive interactions with patients and other guests at all times.
The AAPC Certified Coder will be assigned to specific coding workflows but will have knowledge of all coding workflows to provide coverage for absences as necessary. Must be a self-motivated individual. This position may be cross trained on a variety of administrative duties within the office in order to help facilitate efficient workflows within their scope that will best assist our patients. This position is not a clinical patient care position.
- Timely completion of charge processing for billing
- Timely turnaround of requests for information from other departments and/or physicians
- Notification to appropriate area for any system correction necessary
- Communication of any needed process updates and/or trends
- Prompt response to email and telephone requests
