Our well-established Cardiology office in beautiful downtown Mount Dora is seeking a full-time front office assistant. We are looking for a professional who treats others as they would like to be treated and who understands the value of compassionate service. Multi-tasking abilities are required. Qualifications:

• Minimum one-year experience in a physician practice front office preferred
• Strong organizational skills

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to work in harmony with patients, providers and other staff
• Familiarity with Greenway Intergy a plus
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based upon importance
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

• Answer multi-line phones and either direct the caller to the appropriate party or handle the caller’s needs yourself
• Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data
• Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents
• Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits
• Referrals and authorizations
• Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician and PA/NP availability
• Maintain hard copy patient records as well as the files stored in our EHR
• Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments and to help them schedule testing for off-site services
• Provide patients with support and guidance as needed
• Additional duties as requested

Education:

High school diploma/GED preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
