Practice Administrator
AMS Cardiology, located in Horsham, PA, is looking for a Practice Administrator.
AMS is a 25-provider independent cardiology practice in northern Philadelphia suburbs and the first Atria health partner. AMS Cardiology is one of the largest and most sophisticated cardiology practices in Pennsylvania. Atria health is a national cardiology growth platform that is assisting AMS Cardiology on a number of growth programs.
AMS Cardiology is seeking a Practice Administrator to ultimately lead the 120-headcount, 4 location cardiology practice. This Practice Administrator would be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the practice as well as a number of growth initiatives. Examples of growth initiatives include a PET/CT nuclear imaging program and Intensive Cardiac Rehab program. These new initiatives will improve patient outcomes, reduce hospitalizations, improve physician productivity, and reduce the healthcare cost burden to payors and taxpayers.
Responsibilities of a Practice Administrator:
* Maintaining high levels of patient, physician, and staff satisfaction.
* Oversee financial metrics (e.g., total patient volume and profitability).
* Handle growth initiatives including Intensive Cardiac Rehab, PET/CT, clinical trials, vascular ultrasound and Chronic Care Management).
* Become fully responsible for the overall leadership of the practice within 12-18 months.
Requirements of a Practice Administrator:
*Minimum 2 years healthcare operations experience with >$5M annual revenue
* Minimum 3 years leading growth projects, preferably in healthcare.
* 4-year Bachelor’s degree required.
* Clinical Bachelor’s degree (MA, BSN, RD) preferred.
* Experience in cardiology care preferred but not required.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with patients, physicians, and office staff.
* Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
* Ability to concurrently manage multiple clinical functions.
*Ability to effectively lead direct reports and indirect reports through a matrixed organization.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
*Proficient with Electronic Medical Records (eCW preferred).
* Willing and able to work 5 days per week in Horsham.
