Questar III BOCES is seeking an innovative leader for the position of Director of Career and Technical Education. The Director of Career and Technical Education is a full-time 12 month probationary administrative position that will provide direct leadership to Questar III BOCES Career Technical Education (CTE) center-based programs. The Director for Career and Technical Education will work closely with the Associate Superintendent, Central Office and Building level administrators to provide administrative oversight and leadership of Questar III BOCES Career Technical Education programs. The position is involved with the intake process, it is the administrator for the annual technical endorsement assessment process, and it will oversee the CTE Program Approval and Re-Approval process. It will also be involved in CTE program development and maintaining program rigor and quality. It will oversee the Perkins Grant process and work in collaboration with Central Administration and the Career and Technical Education leadership team. The position will conduct staff observations as well.
This position requires New York State SDL administrative certification and demonstrated successful experience working with CTE programs. Preferred applicants will have three or more years of administrative experience.
