  • Job Description The Opportunity: The Career Services Office at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Daytona Beach Campus is currently accepting applications for a Career Advisor. Career Advisors work with students in specific degree programs to prepare them for career opportunities, while also connecting with companies to recruit those students. As part of the Career Services team, Career Advisors will: Educate/advise on career preparation skills, including resume and cover letter writing, interview skills, networking and attending career events, internship and full-time career opportunity searches, salary negotiation and portfolio development, through individual one-on-one and group advising. Through consistent work with students, the Career Advisor will evaluate students' needs and develop career resources. Develop and deliver career-related presentations, workshops, and career skill programs, including NACE career competency development. Proactively source career opportunities, including internships/co-ops and full-time positions by researching companies, connecting with recruiters and alumni, organizing and hosting career events. Educate students about the University's Co-op/Internship for-credit program and guide them through the registration process. Utilize strong relationship-building skills to develop and maintain connections with faculty/staff in assigned degree programs. Proactively seek out companies and develop strong relationships for the purpose of growing and increasing hiring. Collaborate with the team to host two large Industry/Career Expos each academic year, in addition to other company-related events. Communicate career events and opportunities to students and recent graduates via email, social media platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and through faculty/staff in colleges.
