Markets the university's Career Services program and its graduates for existing employer relationships and for the development of new employer relationships. Being a Career Services Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to head of a unit/department. The Career Services Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Career Services Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Summary: The Assistant Director of Career Services provides oversight of the day-to-day functions in Career Services. The position is responsible for adherence to all Career Services policies and procedures. Manages, develops, and trains campus Career Services staff. The position is accountable for achieving campus benchmarks for externship setup, employment starts, and placement rates. This position requires autonomy in daily performance and refined judgments to apply specialized knowledge of career services processes, procedures, and practices. The role requires detailed knowledge of student management databases and other college systems.
