Installs, fixes, or modifies all aspects of a building, including walls, ceilings, floors, and stairs, as well as related structures like railings, doors, windows, and air conditioning systems. Being a Carpenter follows blueprints and plans to ensure requirements and specifications are met. Observes all worksite safety procedures and guidelines. Additionally, Carpenter inspects buildings to determine repair that needs to be done. An apprenticeship and/or formal training may be required. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Carpenter works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Need carpenter for a new home construction company in the Racine. Should have at least 2 years of construction experience. On the job experience with residential hand and power tools. Able to operate equipment on job site. Should have your own tools and driver’s license. Travel is limited for this job most of the building is done in the shop. $20-$35hr base on experience includes paid vacation, 401k, and insurance. 4 day work week, 10 hour days.
Requirements
Experience in rough carpentry, capable of cutting materials, building floors, roughing walls, leveling walls, installing rafters, roof truss, and wall sheeting.
Able to install exterior finishes, windows, doors, siding, roofing, and deck.
Read and follow written direction and construction plans.
Proactively resolve problems on job site.
Able to lift up to 75lbs, and climb ladders.
