Carpenter constructs, maintains, and remodels buildings or related structures. Installs, fixes, or modifies all aspects of a building, including walls, ceilings, floors, and stairs, as well as related structures like railings, doors, windows, and air conditioning systems. Being a Carpenter follows blueprints and plans to ensure requirements and specifications are met. Observes all worksite safety procedures and guidelines. Additionally, Carpenter inspects buildings to determine repair that needs to be done. An apprenticeship and/or formal training may be required. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Carpenter works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Carpenter Co has an immediate opening for an Operator B - Rolls Manufacturing - Temple, TX - 1st Shift Start time 7:00 am with overtime as needed to complete the work for the day.
This position is responsible for the efficient and safe transporting of unfinished and/or finished product or material for internal or external customers to specific locations for manufacturing, storing, or unloading to achieve the necessary results to meet a production schedule and/or shipping schedule.
Also in this position the employee is responsible for the safe operation of a specific piece of equipment, (convolute), used to manufacturer components and/or finished products for internal and external customers as defined by a daily production schedule.
The position works in a normal manufacturing environment with exposure to temperature changes and loud noise. Major challenges include the ability to produce product based on internal and external customers demands and specification and operating a forklift in congested confined area where other forklifts are operating and other employees are working and walking.
This position would require daily communication with Quality Control, Department Manager, and department personnel to make sure that the needs of all internal and external customers through scheduled operations.
Able to lift and or shift between 35 to 50 lbs
