Develops and implements case management programs, including utilization review, intake or discharge planning, and managed care contracting or negotiation. Being a Case Management Director evaluates patient care data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Summary of Job Function:
The Manager of Case Management is Integral to Department strategic leadership along with Director and Supervisor of Clinical Social Work. Accountable for clinical leadership of Utilization Management and Technical staff, and Denials, Appeals, and Compliance processes. The Manager serves as a key resource in establishing efficient, effective, and fiscally responsible, patient-centered department strategic objectives. Provides management, analysis, and reports on Care Management Dashboard outcomes. Serves on hospital Committees and demonstrates strong multisystem collaboration and leadership skills to optimize clinical outcomes within best practice, ethical, legal, and regulatory parameters. Collaborates with all disciplines, departments, payers, system partners, vendors, and community agencies.
