Case Management Director oversees a staff of case managers responsible for patient care coordination. Develops and implements case management programs, including utilization review, intake or discharge planning, and managed care contracting or negotiation. Being a Case Management Director evaluates patient care data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Seeks treatments that balance clinical and financial concerns with the family's needs and the patient's quality of life. Additionally, Case Management Director contributes to the development and improvement of clinical care pathways that enhance cost effectiveness while providing quality care. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. May require Registered Nurse (RN).     Site supervisors oversee the day-to-day operations of their site. Including but not limited to: scheduling, supplies, supervision.

    This position reports to the Area Medical Services Manager.
    Responsibilities
    Patient Care

    • Rendering care to injured/ill workers as necessary in accordance with organizational standing orders.
    • Determining if first aid is adequate or if transport to a physician, ER, or trauma center is needed. Coordinate transport as needed (911).
    • Coordinate return to work of injured workers.
    • Following up as required with patients and physicians.
    • Provide patient education pertaining to disease progression and relevant therapies.
    • Participate with contracted disability management vendors to assure client progression.
    • Advocate with other case managers and other service providers on behalf of workers.
    • Provide regular reports on patient health status.
    • Collect urine drug, saliva, and breath alcohol tests following chain of custody.

    Clinic Operations

    • Maintaining log on employees seeking treatment and treatment records.
    • Maintaining all safety records to include accident reports.
    • Maintaining inventory of supplies and ordering supplies as needed.
    • Ensuring that all shifts are scheduled in accordance with the client's needs while adhering to the overtime policy.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting patient environment.

    Teamwork and Cooperation

    • Maintaining relationships with medical providers, trade partners, and clients
    • Motivates others
    • Act as liaison between employees, employer, insurance company, and medical service providers.
    • Working with supervisors in the area of patient medical needs and filing supervisor’s accident reports.
    • Advising and/or assisting supervisors in conducting investigation of accidents.
    • Provides resources and support to the team and peers.
    • Fosters an environment of teamwork and trust.
    • Collaborates with peers on shared accountabilities.

    Communication

    • Delivers clear messages and communicates effectively (i.e. expectations)
    • Utilizes Company tools to keep self and team informed (e.g., supervisor meetings, communication binder, bulletin boards, etc.)
    • Creates and delivers development plans and performance reviews in a thoughtful manner.
    • Gives timely and specific feedback (recognition and improvement) while maintaining self-esteem.
    • Has difficult conversations when needed and does not avoid situations that may involve conflict.
    • Listens actively and takes appropriate action.
    • Follow up in a timely manner.
    • Prepares and communicates specific and succinct messages when interacting with senior leadership.

    Qualifications

    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) License, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License, in good standing within state of practice.
    • Current CPR card.
    • Computer literacy and proficiency in electronic health records software, email, word processing, spreadsheets, and internet based applications.
    • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Strong Management skills
    • Flexible hours required, including some evenings and weekends.
    • Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen.
