Case Management Director oversees a staff of case managers responsible for patient care coordination. Develops and implements case management programs, including utilization review, intake or discharge planning, and managed care contracting or negotiation. Being a Case Management Director evaluates patient care data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Seeks treatments that balance clinical and financial concerns with the family's needs and the patient's quality of life. Additionally, Case Management Director contributes to the development and improvement of clinical care pathways that enhance cost effectiveness while providing quality care. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. May require Registered Nurse (RN). The Case Management Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.     Essential duties and responsibilities:

    • In collaboration with the Leasing & Compliance team, the Affordable Director will assist the team with vacancy challenges to maximize occupancy
    • Oversee resident relations, budget preparation, financial reporting, and monitoring regulatory and LIHTC compliance.
    • Ensures all resident complaints are handled expeditiously and professionally
    • In collaboration with the Facilities Team; develop, implement, and assure continued implementation of preventive maintenance programs
    • Recruiting, training, and supervising all operations staff
    • Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs on open projects, resident relations, and future planning
    • Ensure all residents' concerns are addressed quickly
    • Support property initiatives that create trust and transparency with the residents
    • Conduct weekly property manager status meetings.
    • Conduct physical inspections (exterior, interior, vacancies), inventories, physical plant and overall systems.
    • Supervise the appropriate building security measures, legal cases, incident documentation, lease violation reporting and proper notification of management, owner and/or insurance carriers where necessary
    • Conducts job interviews, hires qualified candidates, disciplines and administers personnel policies in compliance with company structure.
    • Assist at times with certain accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
    • Perform other duties as required and as assigned by VP of Operations
    • Manage in all aspects of affordable housing acquisition, rehabilitation, and development (Section 8, LIHTC, etc.)
    • Work in coordination with project teams, the construction field Supervisor to monitor construction and rehab project of NYCHA conversions
    • Visit multiple rehab project construction sites to review the status of work; attend job progress meetings as needed
    • Assists in preparing an annual inspection plan for the portfolio
    • Coordinates managers, site staff, and security guard schedules to ensures sufficient field coverage is provided
    • Develops professional relationship and rapport with Tenant Associations
    • Coordinate and implement quarterly tenant surveys and evaluate the results

    Qualifications, skills and abilities:

    • Bachelor's degree preferred
    • CAM, CPM, or ARM designation preferred
    • Minimum 5 years of on-site property management experience
    • 5 years Affordable Regional Property Management experience managing 1500 units
    • Experience in NYCHA/LIHTC rehabilitation and development projects
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Experience with third-party, equity investor relationships
    • Experience in supervisory role managing staff of more than 25 employees
    • Experience in analyzing budgets, monthly variance reports, and forecasts
    • Proficient in Yardi Voyager property management software
    • General office, accounting, and sales skills a must
    • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience with Fair Housing laws
    • Ability to function autonomously while working in conjunction with coworkers located in other areas of the 5 boroughs
    • Elite customer service
    • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
