We’re working on behalf of a multi-institutional health system that provides a full range of acute and long-term care health services to residents of the Finger Lakes region in Upstate New York. The health system’s 132-bed general acute care hospital provides both primary care and a full range of secondary level services. The hospital operates 14-bed intensive care unit, and a telemetry unit as well as pediatric beds. The health system is dedicated to maintaining and improving the health of all people in the Finger Lakes region through the delivery of high quality, compassionate services. 

We seek a Masters educated Registered Nurse with five (5) or more years of acute care management experience for the role of Director of Care Management. The person in this role will supervise professional and clerical employees who work with a range of functions, including but not limited to: access, pre-authorization and precertification, bed placement, coding, utilization review and denial management, care coordination collaborative treatment planning and core measures, discharge planning, clinical social work, tracking of the post-acute period and provision of disease management, and contracting internally and externally.  She/he will partner with the CMO for effective relationships with physicians, services, specialties, etc. She/he will establish, manage, and constantly evaluate staffing levels, assignments, skills, learning needs, and deployment of staff. 

Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Nursing. Our ideal candidate will have five (5) years of acute care case management experience in an acute care setting. We seek someone who can jump on and work alongside staff, while simultaneously leading the team.

Projected salary is USD $130,000 to $160,000 based on experience and a flexible benefit package includes medical, dental, and life insurance, tuition assistance, on-site Child Care Center (Geneva) and more for full and part time employees.
