GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

To provide leadership to the Program Management department to ensure non EVMS programs meet the customer schedule and budgeted profit in support of Senior Management’s strategic vision.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for the direction of the program management function to ensure project schedule, budget, and performance goals and objectives are met.
• Responsible for establishing program organization and priorities to ensure ownership and accountability of program deliverables.
• Accountable for program budget, schedule, and completion of goals and milestones in accordance with approved plans.
• Maintains on-going communication with customer to accomplish program goals.
• Provides leadership to Program Team to facilitate communication and assist in problem resolution.
• Prepares reports and makes presentations related to overall program progress, cost, resource requirements, schedule, and other related issues.
• Responsible for risk mitigation strategies.
• Directs the efforts of the Program Managers, including assignment of programs.
• Provides Project Manager Estimates for quotes as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards
• Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors
• Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary
• Ability to adhere to workplace rules

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• 4-year college/university education (engineering or other technical degree), or equivalent experience required
• Must have 7 years related program management experience
• Communication, planning, project management, leadership required
• Related experience in a multi-functional management role in manufacturing setting preferred
