Medical case management involves working closely with multiple stakeholders, including healthcare providers, employers, insurance companies, claims professionals, and other Rising team members. Rising case managers work from their home-based offices, traveling as needed to provider appointments. By coordinating efforts and facilitating communication between all parties, case managers can ensure a smooth and efficient process for injured workers' medical treatment and recovery.
Nurses are trained to consider the physical, emotional, and social aspects of patient care. By becoming a Rising Medical workers' compensation medical case manager, you can apply this holistic approach to injured workers' health and well-being. You will assess and coordinate various medical services, rehabilitation programs, and social support systems to ensure the best comprehensive care is provided.
Requirements
Candidates will have a strong background in at least one of the following specialties: industrial rehabilitation nursing, medical case management, occupational health, orthopedics, home health care, utilization review, or quality assurance
Familiarity with regional physicians
CCM, and COHN-S/CM are optional but highly valued
Ability to drive to appointments within a 2-hour radius
Active, unencumbered registered nursing license with a minimum of 5 years' experience
