    About the role

You’ll work in a team that encourages work life balance and supports your career progression through mentoring as well as learning and development opportunities.

    Day-to-day, you will:

    • You’ll manage all contractual and commercial aspects of the project, including contract administration, claims mitigation, and compliance to ensure adherence and conformance of contract delivery requirements and best practice governance
    • You’ll understand contract ramifications and draw on your own strategic and commercial thinking to run short, medium and long-term strategies
    • You’ll employ a proactive risk management approach to identify and anticipate current and potential risks, input them into ARM, develop risk mitigation strategies as required and attend project risk meetings for the SRA/QRA
    • You’ll contribute to and review project reporting and financial management as required, including Project Flash Reports, Board papers, Project Steering Committee Reports, payment claims and business cases and presentations to internal stakeholders on project commercial matters as required

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

    • You’re an experienced Commercial Manager, (or in a similar role) and you’ve managed the Principal-Contractor relationship together with downstream contracts within a ‘PPP’ model
    • You can read and understand complex commercial contracts and interpret and apply legislation
    • You’re commercially astute with a proactive approach to managing risk, with experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, understanding and interpreting detailed construction contracts, commercial terms and financial data
    • You will be proactive and seek timely advice on technical and operational perspectives from both internal and external sources to ensure the most favourable commercial outcome
    • A natural relationship-builder and communicator, you can engage, influence and collaborate effectively and tactfully, even in challenging circumstances.

    • Wellbeing Programs: you will have access to free wellbeing counselling for you and your direct family
    • Exposure to big projects while keeping the benefits of working in a close, high performing team
