Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and manage our company's operations. The Operations Manager will be responsible for
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the practice
- Significant HR involvement to include hiring, discipling, firing, and coordinating the training of staff
- On-boarding of all new staff members to include new providers
- Assisting with establishing and overseeing policies and procedures both clinical and non-clinical for the practice
- Works with IT to maintain functionality and equipment
- Works with EMR (EPIC) to improve/maintain functionality and workflow
- Point of contact for all outside vendors, including hospital resources and building maintenance
- Acts as a liaison with leadership, vendors, patients, and other facility staff
- Works with management team and department leads to improve work flows in the office
- Track and report quality measures to CMS and CIN groups
- OSHA/HIPAA compliance
Qualifications:
Required: High School Diploma with a minimum eight (8) years of experience at medical practices (two of which must include supervisory/management experience). Experience with EHR strongly preferred.
Preferred: Associate’s Degree or higher in Business Management or related field with three (3) years of experience at medical practices (two of which must include supervisory/management experience). Experience with EHR strongly preferred.
Knowledge, skills, abilities:
- Demonstrates knowledge of third-party billing and medical necessity guidelines including Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care.
- Knowledgeable regarding relevant insurance regulations and familiarity with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Knowledge of business management.
- Knowledge of policies and procedures to accurately answer questions from internal and external customers.
- Computer skills to include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and EPIC (or similar).
- Strong human resource skills.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills required for preparation of official business correspondence.
- Experience with conducting regular meetings with physicians, staff and other invited guests/speakers.
- Skilled for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees, patients, organization, and the public.
- Demonstrates ability to act independently and with good judgment. Must have critical logic and thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate in writing, over the telephone, and in person with office staff and outside vendors.
- Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve and correct errors.
- Ability to conceptualize work flow, develop plans, and implement appropriate actions.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $700,000.00 per year
