Cash Management Director determines corporate cash requirements and oversees short-term cash assets or liabilities. Develops corporate investment strategy while maintaining liquidity. Being a Cash Management Director typically manages the organization's bank accounts, including the oversight of staff responsible for account reconciliation, transfer of funds, or purchase or sale of foreign currencies. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Cash Management Director typically reports to a top management. The Cash Management Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Cash Management Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Purpose
    : Contributes to the overall success of the Regulatory and Business Initiatives Group globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of Global Banking and Markets business strategies and objectives and in compliance with all relevant regulations. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.


    What You’ll Do

    • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Build understanding of Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture to make effective decisions
    • Develops and leads end to end delivery planning of assigned project(s) like ideation / interpretation of regulatory rules and business needs, business case approval, establish project governance, implementation plan and transition to BAU including budgeting & resourcing
    • Influence the decision-making process and technical design to ensure alignment to business priorities, strategic technology architecture and resource allocation for assigned project(s)
    • Work independently, help define best practices and be a change agent
    • Present strategic solutions to achieve desired outcome which align with overall business strategy, are cost efficient by design and which create operational efficiency within the bank
    • Anticipates business changes and client needs; recommends interventions and continuous improvement initiatives
    • Manage governance forums as required with primarily business stakeholders, technology partners and other support functions
    • Responsible for interactions with all key stakeholders from business, risk, operations & technology teams including stakeholders in different geographic locations
    • Understands the regulatory and business environment across the industry and brings industry developments and market intelligence into RBI to help evolve the team’s approach
    • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk
    • Champion a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment


    What You’ll Bring

    • Bachelor’s Degree level or above education, ideally in a legal, financial or political subject
    • Must have or working towards their PMP certification
    • Must have experience in capital markets strategic initiatives project management
    • Experience of working within change management programs
    • Experience of managing senior stakeholders / running meetings/ preparing presentations
    • Experience of the global regulatory framework
    • Ability to use Microsoft Office
