Being a Casino Pit Manager observes gaming personnel for evidence of theft or ties to dishonest players. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Nickel's is seeking a Line Cook for our Watkins Glen location. This position involves the production and cooking of our BBQ-centric menu. We emphasize quality products, classic BBQ techniques, and fresh food. The perfect candidate will have 3 years kitchen experience in an independent restaurant setting, the willingness to learn and grow, a love for all things BBQ, and a positive attitude. Experience with smokers is a plus. Food safety standards and maintaining a clean, professional environment are absolutely essential.
Position is based in Watkins Glen, NY. Position begins in April, and at the end of the season we have continuing positions available at our Corning location if interested!
Essential Job Duties include:
Using fryers, grill, and hot holding equipement
Slicing and preparing meat for service
Reading tickets and producing our menu efficiently
Some prep work
Maintaining a clean & safe work environment
Working with others and succeeding in a team environment
