Casino Pit Manager manages and directs the daily activities for an assigned area of the casino. Surveys the casino floor and looks for players that are cheating and removes suspected card counters. Being a Casino Pit Manager observes gaming personnel for evidence of theft or ties to dishonest players. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Casino Pit Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Casino Pit Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and timely manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Enter orders into the POS system and process payments through the cash register
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established standards
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and dining areas
- Assist with setting up tables and maintaining dining room appearance
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism
- Uphold high standards of hospitality and guest relations
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a server or in the hospitality industry preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Basic math skills for calculating bills, tips, and making change
- Knowledge of food preparation, including proper handling and storage techniques
- Familiarity with operating a POS system and cash register
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
