Casino Shift Manager oversees the casino activities during an assigned shift. Coordinates with departments to ensure total customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Being a Casino Shift Manager ensures compliance with federal and state gaming regulations. Maintains visual presence on casino floor. Additionally, Casino Shift Manager enforces corrective action against individuals caught cheating. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Casino Shift Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.     The Asian Restaurant Shift Manager is responsible to supervise a shift team and be responsible and accountable for administration, operation and the direct management of the Asian Venue. 

    This position reports to the Asian Restaurant Assistant Manager & General Manager.

     

    Compensation: $45K /yr (Base on experience)

     

    Responsibilities

    Where You'll Make an Impact:

    • Develop and assist in a supervisory capacity with the business plan and budget for the restaurant.
    • Responsible for inventory control and ordering supplies, food and drink necessary to operate the restaurant.
    • Developing servers, host, cashiers and utility staff. To include training, interviewing for new hires, assisting with performance management inclusive of disciplinary counseling and conducting performance evaluations.
    • Review staffing levels to maintain budgeted level of employment.
    • Delegate authority and assign duties as necessary.
    • Review departmental status with Manager.
    • Develop, implement and supervise programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries.
    • Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Ability to perform assigned duties under pressure.
    • Knowledge of sanitation laws and health regulations and applicable OSHA regulation.
    • A variety of task and deadlines requires irregular work schedule.
    • Ability to perform assigned duties in an interruptive environment.
    • Accuracy in completing assigned duties in a timely manner.
    • Ability to communicate in English and fluency in either Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese or Asian language. 
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Must-Haves:

    • Preferred 4-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience.
    • Knowledge and experience in Micros, Microsoft Office Programs.
    • Must be able to comply with all state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to work long hours.
    • Ability to stand for long periods of times without sitting or leaning.
    • Ability to climb stairs multiple times daily.
    • Ability to handle multi-tasking-heavy work-exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 30 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
    • Ability to climb, bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms.
    • Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels.
