Casino Shift Manager oversees the casino activities during an assigned shift. Coordinates with departments to ensure total customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Being a Casino Shift Manager ensures compliance with federal and state gaming regulations. Maintains visual presence on casino floor. Additionally, Casino Shift Manager enforces corrective action against individuals caught cheating. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Casino Shift Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. POSITION DESCRIPTION: Responsible for supervising a shift of approximately 10 – 20 employees. This is a hands-on position assuming similar responsibilities as the housekeeping position. Candidate is only responsible for supervising when the Housekeeping Shift Supervisor is not present. Relief Supervisor performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management in their shifts or absence. See Housekeeping Staff and Supervisor requirements for additional information. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to supervise effectively. Candidate must also be physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and reach with or without reasonable accommodation. EXPERIENCE: 2 years of supervisory/management experience.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma and other supervisory training preferred.
