Purpose of Position:
Analyze and correct electrical problems with a logical approach, install and maintain electrical systems. Follow detailed plans for electrical expansion and upgrades with minimal oversight.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, service or replace electronic devices, and systems.
• Schedule repairs, installations and electrical inspections.
• Start up and shut down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
• Service electronic equipment by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components, circuits, printed circuit boards, and similar electronic devices.
• Install, repair, and maintain communication cables, power distribution cables, and then splicing pieces as required.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed, inclusive of circuit numbers, wiring method, and location of any devices and or splices.
• Notify Supervisor/Manager of potentially dangerous electrical equipment noted and corrective action taken.
• May operate company vehicles or equipment as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent is required, unless otherwise waived by Human Resources Management.
• Completion of an accredited four (4) year electrical apprenticeship program, or an equivalent combination of vocational trade school, junior technical college, or on job training is required.
